About Me

I’m a Yorkshire lass living on the outskirts of London but still fortunate enough to be surrounded by beautiful countryside which I miss so much from living back home in North Yorkshire. There's me (the messy one), Mr OCD (the anal one) and our ginger Labrador (the demanding one), all living together in an old church cottage in the Chalfonts. 
Whilst Mr OCD needs to have less clutter in his life to get a good nights sleep, I couldn’t function without being surrounded by the things I’ve collected over the years. We’ve somehow managed to come up with a compromise in regards to my 'junk' ...for now anyway until we can move to a bigger house.....

On the Mac & Me blog I hope to share with you interior ideas, craft projects, places I’ve visited &  shops to see alongside other ramblings of family, work & life bits & bobs.

Collecting and creating stuff are what I love doing and with my passion for travel is how I founded my small business Mac & Me. Nothing makes me happier than scouring markets in the world for unique finds to bring back home. 
After a short holiday to Morocco and several arguments with Ryan Air over ‘excess baggage’ I decided to learn how to ship a container over. It was hard work and I learnt many valuable lessons from the experience but still couldn’t believe how easy it was to do. A holiday to India led to my life changing discovery of knobs! I’m a bit of a furniture hoarder which I’m sure comes as no surprise and love updating old and unloved furniture. A container full of knobs felt like the perfect solution to be able to combine a business with my hobby whilst helping others to create something rewarding for themselves too. In 2011 Mac & Me’s journey began and although it’s still got a long way to go, I hope to share with you our adventures along the way.
